How to Get Big Sexy Hair for Holiday Parties
Do you have a Holiday Bash planned this month? Or a New Years Eve party you want to look great for?
Go Big or Go Home!
Here is a step-by-step guide to give you a bold sexy look for your event!
- Start from the ground up with Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner. My favorite combination is Paul Mitchell Extra Body Shampoo followed by Tea Tree Lemon Sage Conditioner*
- Next, follow up with one pump of Super Skinny Serum. I like to call this the "underwear for the hair." You use it every day and you always put it on first. This product helps tighten the cuticle and helps your style hold.
- Next, spray Paul Mitchell Root Boost on your hair near the scalp everywhere you want volume. Example: Bangs, Crown of the Head.
- Then, spray Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray roots to ends, everywhere else. The more you spray, the thicker your hair will become. Just don't go too crazy! I personally like to spray more through the ends of my hair because it is the thinnest part of my hair. For others, the thinnest part may be the crown of your head.
- Right now you are done, unless you want your hair EXTRA AMAZING (extreme volume and shine) - As a pre-blowdry finishing touch, spray 3-5 pumps (MIST) all over the top of your hair with Tea Tree Lemon Sage Thickening Spray.
- Now you are ready to blowdry! Take your fingers and lift your hair straight up to dry your roots first (Make sure they are dry everywhere! This will help hold the volume all night.) Once your roots are dry, you can either blowdry using a round brush or put in rollers. The higher up you place your round brush or rollers, the more volume you will get per strand.
- Now you're looking fantastic! To really help your style hold, backcombing is your friend. Take thin rectangular sections starting at the front of your hairline, and holding the section straight up in the air, take a comb about midway along the hair shaft and comb towards your scalp. Work your way back till you reach the crown of your head. This way it will hold the whole top of your hair. Spray a little of the Paul Mitchell Extra Body Finishing Spray on each backcombed section.
- Finish with your favorite hairspray. Lift your hair out and spray into your hair, not on top of the hair. Spraying on top of the hair can deflate your volume.
All products mentioned in my beauty tip will be available in travel size all together in our Beauty Tip Kit "Holiday Volume." This kit is 20% retail which means you get everything you need for $34! Ask for it at the front desk!

*Often times when people are trying to achieve big volume in their hair they skip the conditioner. However, this works against you because your hair will tend to be more flyaway and static prone, turning limp faster.
